DO NOT Focus on the HOW… Focus on the WHAT.
Today I was reading a very interesting post by the (husband of Rachel Hollis).
NOTE: Rachael Hollis - author and speaker
That said something along the lines of – we should not focus on the HOW we are going to get there but on the WHAT.
I have to be honest with you. I've been guilty of this attitude before.
I’ve talked myself out of doing something multiple times because I get so caught up on the
“HOW IM GOING TO DO THIS CRAZY THING”
This question only brings more questions into my life and at the end, I only talk myself out of it.
It honestly brings all this questions I do not have answers too.
The HOW is so big and brings so many questions that I would rather just sleep on my bed so that all I need to do is dream and not necessarily act on it.
This happened to me recently when I was thinking of opening my blog.
How all started ...
When I was having doubts on the HOW for the blog, it mostly came down to –
- How am I going to come up with 600 posts?
- How am I going to make it grow?
- How am I going to get people to read it? How am I going to get subscribers?
- How do I even build a blog? How do I engage with people? HOW? HOW? HOW?
The thing is …
That the more I thought about it the scarier the action of opening my blog became.
Therefore, to stop all does negative thoughts, I decided to act on it. I decided to ignore all of those questions I had no answer too. I had no idea how to create a blog, or if this was going to be beneficial for people of not.
The only thing I knew is the WHAT – What I wanted to do, to create.
I wanted to create a blog to empower ambitious women to achieve their full potential in life and business.
I still do not know if this is making a change or if I continue with this crazy idea for a long time. However, for now it works, I LOVE IT and it only took me to take action to make it happen.
So today, I want you to ACT on a dream you have been putting off because of all the questions or the HOW that comes up in your mind when you think of it. It overwhelms you and makes you stop. I invite you to not stop, to figure it out as you go.
Let’s say it as it is and tell you two things:
The dream either will work or it will not
If it works, that is awesome ... if does not, it's okay.
Failure only exists in your head.
Learn from it and move on to the next things. Failure does not define who you are.
Edison said – "I have no failed. I have found 10000 times that this does not work"
Share with me what are you going to act on that you have been putting off ...
What are you doing today to change your life!?
Until out next read – Ursula Keith!
